FatPipe raises $3-m third round

Salt Lake City, Utah-based FatPipe Networks (formerly Ragula Systems), a provider of router clustering devices for Internet/WAN connections, has raised a $3 million third round funding led by vSpring Capital. The round received participation from existing investors Timothy Draper (of Draper and Associates), Wasatch Venture Fund, Japan-based Odyssey Ventures and other individual investors. Fatpipe was founded by the husband and wife team of Ragula Bhaskar and Sanchaita Datta.

According to a profile in siliconindia.com, Bhaskar, FatPipe's President and CEO, is a graduate of the Indian School of Mines in Dhanbad, Bihar. He received his PhD., a dual MS (in engineering and operations research) and MBA from Pennsylvania State University. Datta, FatPipe's CTO, worked in engineering positions at Megahertz (US Robotics) and Dayna Communications. She did her MS in electrical engineering at Penn State.
